The time in between

After Thanksgiving we had a couple of surprises. On December 4th it snowed! I was very excited and while it wasn’t a lot, I’ll take what I can get. It wasn’t enough to wake the sleeping giant, but little did I know, she’d get her snow.

A week or so after the snow, Grace and I came home to this:

Ahhh, Itchy. I just stood there in the foyer staring at it, Grace under me grabbing through the gate trying to enjoy the snow gift Itchy had provided. I didn’t yell, I didn’t scream, I just… laughed. I pulled out my phone and sent a text message, complete with photo, to my wonderful husband. His response:

“What the [exploitive deleted] is that?”

Ahh, he took the words right out of my mouth. Well it was Grace’s beanbag chair. It was everywhere! And there was a lot. How that thing contained all those styrofoam balls is beyond me. It took 3 ½ garbage bags to get rid of all of it.
So I did what any super cool parent would do, I got on the floor with Grace, Oakley, and even Itchy and we played in it until Daddy got home. Then Daddy got home. He wasn’t very pleased, but after a few deep breaths, he realized what’s done is done, and we might as well enjoy the snow while it lasts. It really was so much fun, and at least it wasn’t the furniture…or the carpet… or the walls.
