Father’s Day Weekend

We all had a great father’s day family fun weekend. On Saturday we took Grace out shopping and bought her an awesome present. The Bumbo Chair helps babies learn to sit up, and it works. Grace was so excited to sit up all by herself and examine her feet and hands without mom and dad’s arms getting in the way. We also walked around Perkins Rowe and Grace fell asleep in her stroller.

Then it was father’s day! Grace wore her very special Daddy’s Girl onesie with her little purple and white polka dot skirt. She was precious. She got Daddy lots of presents, but the best was the one she made at daycare; it’s a poem on orange construction paper with popsicle sticks and ribbon. And her teacher helped her write her name.

Daddy and Grace also tried out her exersaucer. Our sweet little girl needed to stand on a book, cause she’s still so small, but she had a lot of fun showing Daddy all the buttons. We showed her how the buttons made noise when you push them, and she stared for a long time trying to figure it out for herself. Then she got it! She reached her little hand over to the buttons and slapped them until they made sounds. Our girl is a genius!!!

Not a fan of Daycare

After four whole days in daycare our little angel got her first cold. Which was preceded by pinkeye. If it’s not one thing it’s another. Even with all this, plus fever, Grace was still as sweet as could be. And no cold would be complete without getting a new toy; enter Moses, the little green giraffe. Next, Grace lovingly passed her daycare yuck onto Mommy and Daddy. Then our precious child developed, just as her pediatrician predicted, an ear infection. Scratch that, a double ear infection. The fun just keeps on coming.
