3rd Birthday Party

Gracie’s third birthday party was fun. She, once again, was a little intimidated with all these extra people in the house staring at her, but she gets better the longer everyone sticks around.

She really enjoyed opening her presents this year, and really loved the one from Granny and Papaw… her very own laptop. OVER THE TOP! She loved it. Of course, who wouldn’t?

In typical Grace fashion, she looked down the whole time Happy Birthday was sung. I can’t blame her; I don’t like being stared at either, and the singing? Well, I feel her pain.

But she liked eating it!

My first BIKE

When we got home from the zoo, we just couldn’t wait to give her the presents we got her. She got her yearly birthday charm, and A BIKE!!!

She did awesome! She was so excited; she had Jared outside the next morning riding her bike at 8:00am in her pajamas. The girl is nuts!

Three. What? How?

We did the Zoo again this year for Gracie’s birthday. I love her birthday, it’s my favorite day of the year. I’m not sure how we made it again, but I love it.
She’s so big it’s ridiculous. Gracie had so much fun, and we were all beat by the time we made it home. I’ll just let the pictures tell the story.

My Little Valentine

This kid knows how to work it. Granny and Papaw ALWAYS have a gift every time they see Grace. She even tells me from time to time, “Yeah mom, we’re going to go to Granny and Papaw’s and get presents.” Stinker!!! So of course being so close to her birthday, the presents are being stock piled and she only got a couple when we visited. Aww, don’t you feel bad for her?
So about a week prior to our visit, we were at the store and she wanted a white fur-real kitty. I’m such a mean mommy and I didn’t get it, even though I’m sure she didn’t leave the store empty handed. Fast forward to our visit, Grace is on the floor pretending to be a kitty and scratching at Papaws leg and meowing. What do the grandparents do? Go into the closet and give her the kitty. Why? Because she’s so cute. ROTTEN!!!

Just A Girl and Her Dog

She really does love him… and when he can’t take anymore love he runs from her. It’s a give, take and hide relationship.

Gracie's Gala

So I’m like 6 months behind, whatever things get busy. Sorry, I’ll really try to work on it.
Anyway, so the beginning of the year started off with Grace’s Winter Gala at school. It was awesome! Jared and I totally thought she was going to freak with all those people staring at her, but she did great!

We were so proud of her. She waited patiently for her class to get ready and then there were a few bumps with her snowflake hat falling off. It was a little small, but she finally got tired of it and tossed it anyway.

She did such a good job, she even got a new horsey and flowers when she got home!

The playhouse

Dear Granny and Papaw,
I don't think Grace likes her house at all. Please come get it.
Thanks,
Daddy and Mommy

Seriously? She won't leave us alone. "Can we go outside, please, please, please?" is all we're hearing. She LOVES it, but unfortunately it has been raining and we can't go outside. It should clear up soon, and between this and the car I don't think she's ever coming back inside.
And she really wants the boys to go in there with her.

Granny's Birthday

Granny's birthday is only a few days after Christmas so we were lucky enough to still be there to celebrate with her. Granny enjoyed her gifts and spending time with Grace, Grace enjoyed the cupcakes and Granny. Hope you had a great birthday Granny, we love you!

Christmas at Granny and Papaw's

After we opened presents at home on Christmas morning, we all hopped in the car an headed over to Granny and Papaw's house. From the moment we got there it was wild! Grace got so many more presents... so spoiled. We were really shocked by how she ran around the house repeatedly to hand out presents. She was an excellent little elf. Then it was time for her to sit still and open some presents herself. The coolest of all was an outdoor playhouse from Granny and Papaw! She hugged the box, but didn't really understand until we got it home and set it up (more later).

Uncle Nay got her an awesome Lion, which terrified her at first, but after some help from Papaw, she's now in love.

I'm still really surprised at how much she seemed to enjoy opening her presents this year. But I really think Grace had the most fun with family. Running around taking photos of them with her new camera. Ahh, just like her mommy.
