Thanksgiving

Not too much happened between Halloween and Thanksgiving. Just a lot of the same ole thing; work, school, home, sleep and repeat. Thanksgiving rolled around and that’s when all the fun started. We had Thanksgiving dinner at my Aunt’s house and Grace was freely giving hugs to lots of family. We kind of sat back in awe. Usually she’s super shy with people she doesn’t see regularly.

Here’s her giving a big hug to Uncle Nay. Sorry for the blur, I forgot my camera at home. That seems to be a new trend with me, one I’m working on fixing.
That night my mom and I went Black Friday shopping. We got a little shopping done but mostly stood in line for multiple hours in the freezing cold. Thanks Mom! And thank you Dad for bringing us coats, blankets, and chairs! It was psycho. I say every year, “I’m not doing this again,” but I do. It’s tradition, and that can’t be helped.
That weekend, we also put up Christmas decorations. Oh how I miss last year when Grace was crawling and couldn’t reach the ornaments. This year was a little different. It was non-stop, “Grace don’t touch that,” “Grace leave the tree alone,” “GRACE!” Ahh, the holiday season. She actually did pretty well. Once we gave her a pickle, she was open to discussing the frequency and extent at which she was allowed to touch the tree. Very smart kid. Sneaky, but smart.
